நீங்கள் நினைத்த அந்த நாலெழுத்து வார்த்தையினும் கெட்டது இது. RAPE என்பதற்கு, தமிழில் கற்பழிப்பு என்பதைவிட மிக வல்லிய வாக்கு இருக்கிறதா என எனக்குத் தெரியவில்லை. அதன் நிகழ்வைவிடக் கொடியது அதனைக்குறித்தான அவதானிப்புகளும், எண்ணங்களும். ஒரு சமுதாயம் எப்படி தன் பெண்களை குறித்து சிந்திக்கிறது என்பது அதன் அரசியல் வெளிப்பாடுகள் உணர்த்துகின்றன.
பாக்கிஸ்தானில் பஞ்சாயத்தால் பல மிருகங்களால் கற்பழிக்கப்படவேண்டும் என தண்டனை விதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண் அமெரிக்கா சென்று "பாக்கிஸ்தானில் நீதி கிடைக்காது" என வெதும்பிச் சொன்னதைக் குறித்து ,முஷரப் பேசியது மிகத் தரக்குறைவு.
ஒரு நாட்டின் பிரதான பொறுப்பில் உள்ளவர் பேசும் பேச்சல்ல இது.
"பாக்கிஸ்தானியப் பெண்கள் வெளிநாடு சென்று ( அமெரிக்கா, கனடா எனக் குறிப்பிட்டு)குடியேற்றமும், டாலர்களும் கிடைப்பதற்காக, வேண்டுமென்றே கற்பழிப்பில் தன்னிச்சையாக ஈடுபடுகின்றனர்" என்று அவர் சொல்லியிருப்பது பெரும் சர்ச்சையைக் கிளப்பியிருக்கிறது.
பாக்கிஸ்தானில் பெண்கள் இயக்கங்கள் போர்க்கொடி உயர்த்தியுள்ளது நியாயமான கோபங்களின் வெளிப்பாடு. ஆயின் இது போதாது.
ஆணாதிக்க உணர்வும், பெண்களை மிகக்கேவலமாக கருதும் எண்ணமும் கொண்ட ஒரு நாட்டுத்தலைவரிடம் என்ன பெரிதாக எதிர்பார்த்துவிடமுடியும்?
வேலியே பயிரை மேய்ந்த அவமானம் ஒருபுறமிருக்க,அதனைக் குறித்தான சிந்தனையும் பேச்சும் அதனைவிட அருவெறுப்பாக இருக்கிறது. முஷரஃப் காஷ்மீர் குறித்து கவலைப்படுவதை விட்டுவிட்டு கராச்சியிலும், லாகூரிலும் தனது ஆட்சியின் தரம் குறித்து கவலைப்படட்டும்.
முதலில் மனிதனாக அவர் வாழ முயலவேண்டும். பாக்கிஸ்தானியாக வாழ்வதை பற்றி அவர் பிறகு யோசிக்கலாம்.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf got into a heated argument in New York on Saturday with a group of human rights activists who referred to his recent interview to an American daily wherein he is quoted as saying that women exploited rape to get visas.
The controversy on the reported remarks refuses to die down despite a clarification from Gen. Musharraf that he was misquoted in the interview and he had only talked about views expressed by some on how rape incidents are exploited to tarnish the image of Pakistan.
The latest row occurred at a conference organised to discuss issues related to women of Pakistan. According to Pakistan English daily Dawn, pandemonium broke out at the meeting organised to promote Pakistan's soft image when after a confrontation with human rights activists an irate President Musharraf declared that those who opposed his policies were the enemies of Pakistan.
"You are against me and Pakistan," said the President when a human rights activist referred to his alleged comments in the Washington Post interview.
Provoked by a question, the President allowed an event held to promote his Government's pro-women policies to degenerate into a bout between himself and part of the invited audience, the paper said.
`I am a fighter'
"I am a fighter, I will fight you. I do not give up and if you can shout, I can shout louder. I wish you had quoted Muslim scholars as opposed to British scholars," Gen. Musharraf told the woman who had quoted some American scholars to make her point.
Responding to the woman's charge that he had retracted his remarks in the interview, Gen. Musharraf said: "Lady, you are used to people who tell lies. I am not one of them."
As human rights and women groups protested outside the Roosevelt Hotel against the treatment of rape victims in Pakistan, Gen. Musharraf said such protests should be held in and not outside Pakistan. When a woman raised her voice to ask a question, he asked, "Are you a Benazir supporter? The lady was Prime Minister of Pakistan twice, ask her what she has done for Pakistan."
In an indirect reference to Opposition politicians in Pakistan, Gen. Musharraf said: "We have introduced new leaders who don't tell lies unlike your leaders who did. You have disappointed me. I am disappointed with people like you. You work with people who looted and plundered the nation. You are against national interest, you have your own agenda."
He said people like her had some personal agenda for highlighting cases that hurt Pakistan's reputation. "I know that there are people with vested interests and financial interests who are against Pakistan." He also referred to the Washington Post interview, saying, "I never said that. I am not so silly or stupid to make such remarks."
When the altercation began to get uglier, Pakistan's Ambassador to the U.S. Jehangir Karamat, who was Gen. Musharraf's senior in the Army, approached the podium and moved the President away by gently patting his shoulders. Gen. Musharraf, however, returned to the podium and said he was not against those who were working for the cause of women
